Innovative work report

 





    Innovation is definition as "the process of making changes to something established by introducing something new." Innovative work help a teacher to teach a lesson easily. The role of innovative work is very important in Physical Science teaching. In order to teach a lesson innovatively, the teacher must use a lot of pictures, games and songs. In teaching learning process the role of innovative work is very important. It makes the class interesting. Innovative work is one of the effective method for teaching difficult lesson easily. 

    As a part of B.Ed curriculum, I did this Innovative work 'Organic Station'. As the study says Organic nomenclature is difficult for beginners. Organic Station make them interested in learning organic chemistry. They were so excited to play this game in the class.

   It involves a different way of looking at problems and solving them. The thinking process that goes into it will help students develop their creativity and their problem solving skills. Innovation improves education because it compels students to use a higher level of thinking to solve problems.

     Name of Work          : Organic Station

     Standard                   : IX

     Name of the topic     : Nomenclature of Organic Compounds

     Objectives                 : 1) To Familiarize the prefixes in organic nomenclature.

                                         2) To learn the rules of organic nomenclature.

                                         3) To study the naming way by IUPAC for Alkanes, Alkenes, Alkynes.

    Materials used           :  Cardboard , Chart paper , Chart hanger, sketch pen, glue.

       The organic Station is a different and interesting game which helps the student to learn organic nomenclature in a simple way. The player select a number from the board one and place it in the second board. The visible part will contain organic compound. The player should identify which prefix is suitable and select the suitable prefix from the board and hang it on the chart hanger. Then name it.
